This is just a quick update to let you all know that Kevin did have the plate removed today and when the doctor lifted it out there was the equivalent of a bowl full of puss underneath it. Who knows how long it's been infected, but I would guess a long time.
So we are in ICU and I still don't have Internet so I will fill everybody completely in when we get to a room that I can log in and really type from.

UGH, I am sorry Les. But I am glad they found the infection, and maybe this will help. My one question is....what now?? I know you will answer when you can. But I want you to know I have been thinking about all of you all day.

Oh Lord have mercy! I'm just sitting here shaking my head. Well, thank God they took out the plate. I know that was a difficult decision. Has Kevin been on antibiotics for a while, I can't remember? I wonder if the plate itself was contaminated when it was put in. So many questions come to mind, as I'm sure they do for you as well.
You and Kevin and Breezy are in my thoughts and always in my prayers. I'll be praying for Kevin to fight off that infection and recover quickly. Take care as best you can. Thanks for the update!
