I guess I jinxed us last night as Kevin is now admitted to the hospital pending probable surgery tomorrow or the next day. When the bubble popped last night it was actually yellow CSF as opposed to clear. This typically means infection has set in so they are planning to remove the plate and everything else from his head. Nothing is definite yet, but everyone is leaning toward this option.
So anyway, there is no Internet in his room and I think it's safe to say that my posts will be sporadic, but I will keep y'all updated as I can.

Oh no! This is not the news I was hoping to hear. Kevin will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm praying the doctors are wrong and the plate doesn't have to come out! Whatever the case, I'm glad that Kevin is in good hands. How is Kevin taking the news?

Hopefully once they get in there they will know more about everything. Praying that doesn't involve taking the plate out. Oh Leslie...we are praying hard for all of you!!! Sorry to hear the news, but as always Kevin comes through with flying colors! He's a strong guy and heals so fast. It isn't what we want to hear, but I think we will all feel better once the Dr's can see what's going on for sure. Please tell Kevin we are praying for him and can't wait for more videos! They sure make me smile! :)

Ugh, I'm so sorry to read your news this morning. How is Kevin reacting to these events? This bites, Leslie. Many prayers the infection is cleaned out in surgery, eliminated with treatment, and Kevin heals quickly. Plate removal creates a whole new ballgame, sorry to read that as well.
Thoughts and prayers for rock solid strength for you, Leslie. Please let Kevin know folks out here are praying for him.

Thank goodness you are already in Texas. Hopefully the doctors will be able to get Kevin healthy while doing only the minimum necessary. Will be looking forward to your update telling us Kevin is doing well....he's so strong now!

OH no Leslie! I am so sorry to hear that you guys are going to have to maybe start all over again and have the plate removed. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers! Tell Kevin to keep his chin up, and that he will come out of this the trooper he has been from the beginning!
