Day 663 - Mar 23, 2010

Not really anything much to say today. They did start Kevin on some sort of iron program where he will get IV iron supplements for 5 days and that may clear up the anemia. That would be nice as it's been an ongoing problem for about a year and a half now.

So Kevin didn't get out of bed at all again today. He just is not feeling well at all.

One good thing - we got a new case manager today. Yay! She worked all afternoon on finding an apartment for us but she is struggling too. We are at the point that we are trying to find out if we can go back to FL in between all of our appointments, procedures and surgeries. It's going to mean a substantial amount of money in air travel, but it may be our only option.

I have to admit to not feeling overly comfortable being in FL without a neurosurgoen, but I can't torture Kevin in such a noisy environment. I am probably going to just have to get over it and take him home.

It won't be anytime quick though - he really isn't doing too well...

So sorry that life is kicking you royally in the ass right now. I guess you would have to weight airfare to the cost of an apartment. Hopefully airfare comes out ahead. Prays and thoughts are sent your way.

If it comes to that - staying in Florida - this organization might be able to help you out with flights.

Praying all works out with the housing situation and that Kevin starts feeling better!!

I'm sure you have but have you looked at renting an actual house as opposed to an apartment? That might be easier as far as room and noise goes but I'm not sure about the price!! Good luck and God Bless!!

My thoughts and prayer are with you and Kevin. He certainly deserves to feel better after all this time. I hope tomorrow is that day. I will keep you in my prayers as always. Ellie

Sure hope the new case manager is helpful and Kevin's advocate.

You've got a lot to consider in deciding on where to stay. Your plate continues to be FULL.

Continued thoughts and prayers, especially for Kevin to start feeling better.

Well, at least you've got someone working on your side now with the new case manager. Let's hope something good turns up really soon!

Anemia can certainly make you feel tired and crummy, so hopefully the iron will help Kevin feel a little better. Any improvement would be great.

I'll continue to pray for improvement and that you'll find a place to stay. Something has to turn up soon. Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, as always.
