Day 255 - Feb 10, 2009

Kevin hasn't been feeling well today. He slept all day long, only waking up for maybe 2 full hours total. Breezy was with him and called me because she could tell something was wrong, so I went up and had the docs come in. They are waiting until tomorrow to draw blood and just see how he's feeling. Hopefully it's just a little bug.

Other than that, nothing much happened. I am spending hours a day on the phone trying to get this house. To be honest, I am just so tired and ready to just give up and live in the van. It honestly shouldn't be this hard to buy a place to live.

Oh well. I don't even have the energy to vent about this so I think I will just hit the hay.

Here's to hoping Kev feels better tomorrow!

Hello there Leslie! Just wanted to let you know I'll be praying for you and your family and praying that you can get the house! Thank you so much for the sacrifices you all have made for our country! Please give your son a huge thank you for what he has done! We are grateful, more than words can express! Hang in there, ok! Take care! Anna Psalm 147:3-5

Leslie - I am so sorry that you are having to struggle so much with the housing loan issue. I am asking for your permission to contact the member of the House of Representatives from my home district and the Senator from my home district - I would like to send them the link to your blog - both of these individuals have demonstrated their willingness to help our soldiers - not just in words - but with actions that DO make a difference. I have hesitated doing this in the past because I was not certain of your wishes. I do realize that this type of contact can mean that you will most likely have to answer more questions and provide more information.
So many people around the world admire Kevin, Breezy and you. We want to help you but unfortunately we don't have the monetary resources to do so. In a unique way, the three of you, have become honorary family members to the people that read the blog and family wants to help and care for family. Please let me know in your blog if it is okay to contact my Representative and Senator.
I would also like to share your blog site with Dr. Laura. (She has a nationally synidicated call in advice show.) She is a great supporter of the military - in fact - her son is currently serving in the military. She is also actively involved in raising funds for our wounded soldiers.
Thank you for all you are doing! You are one determined mom and I know that Kevin and Breezy are blessed to be able to call you "Mom."

Leslie, you might want to try to lay your hands on the Feb. 2009 Reader's Digest. There is an interesting article about an orginaztion that builds homes for wounded souldiers.

Good luck!
