Day 206 - Dec 23, 2008

I am pretty much going to skip writing tonight as I had to run to Wal-Mart and it was such a horrible experience.

Kevin was really the same today as he was yesterday - maybe a tiny bit better. We did tap close to 400 CCs of fluid today though and we also brought him down to the house for dinner, but he got very nauseous and we ended up taking him back up to the hospital right after we ate.

Hopefully he feels even better tomorrow.

Oh and before I forget - some of you have asked why the docs don't come earlier to tap him and it's because they are in surgery all day. I tried to get them to come earlier, but there's nothing they can do. I don't like it - but I do understand.

Leslie, Breezy, and Kevin
I want to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas! Like all the others have said, you do have alot to be thankful for this year, even things are not so good right now. I pray that his surgery corrects his problem with the fluid build-up! This would be great!
You are all our Hero's and an inspiration to anyone who reads this blog! You will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Kevin, Leslie and Breeze,
I hope you all have a great and Merry Christmas. I know it is a lttle harder to get into that Christmas spirit when it is not so cold and snowy there, but enjoy it anyway. LOL.
I wanted to say a couple of things too.
Thank you Kev, for fighting for our country. You are a very brave man and I do thank you for that. Keep that fight and get back on your feet soon.
Breeze, you are a great sister. Not many sister's would have given up her friends and job to be there to help 24/7 all this time and you did. You are a great with Kevin from all your Mom has written and from what I hear here at home. You show your true love for your brother and your Mom every day.
Les, you are a rock. You have your emotions pulled daily from one side to the other due to your sons care and feeling the need to spend more time with Breeze as well. You have managed to get Kevin to where he is today as well as not let Breeze feel left out. You are a remarkable woman. YOU should win Mother of the year as well as Woman of the year. You are so strong. The love for your children shows greatly and your children are lucky you are a fighter as well. There are alot of people out there that would just sorta lay back and just take what the doctors say as truth and not fight for what they want done for their children and they do not get the quality of care that Kevin seems to be getting. GOOD JOB LESLIE! The love for your children truly shows every day and don't ever doubt that it doesn't.
Now have a great day and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Love
Susan
