I really don't have anything much to say tonight. We went to Sam's Club today, just for somewhere to go, and that's about it. I made a huge pan of lasagna for dinner after that and Breezy and Chris came over again. We didn't play any games today because Kevin bought the movie "Out Cold" and he was really into watching it tonight.
And that's really about it. Hopefully I have more to say tomorrow night, lol.

I found the music link interesting, but I hope Kevin is also listening to "real" classical music (as opposed to new age electronics), lol.
A.
Yes the skin did grow with him but there was an area they couldnt cover. Granulation tissue did eventually grow to cover it but its not as strong as regular tissue. That was only a problem when he was a kid and might bang his head. No worries now as the surrounding hair covers it.
God bless and keep all of you,
I should probably clarify that my suggesting the Jon Hopkins piece was not random on my part or made simply because I happen to like Light Through The Veins (although I do, very much, in fact). Nor was I trying to exclude any other type of music. Rather, given what little I know of Kevin's brain injury, I thought that particular selection might appeal to him on a number of non-verbal levels and that it would hopefully give him a sense of peace. Nothing would please me more — the genre of the music is at best a secondary consideration here.
Here are a few more possibilities to try, Leslie (all links are to YouTube):
This excerpt from Hourglass Part 2 on Keith Jarrett's Staircase album.
My Song, again by Keith Jarrett (from his Facing You album), which has a simple but gorgeous melody and uncomplicated instrumentation.
[By the way, if Kevin happens to really like these selections from Keith Jarrett, before you decide to explore more of what he has to offer be aware that although Keith is beyond brilliant he can also be beyond eccentric and you aren't going to like everything you hear. The Staircase album is a safe bet, though, and perhaps the Köln Concert.]
As there's a distinct possibility that Kevin might be somewhat aggravated by the high pitch of piano music, here are some with an easier, lower-pitched sound:
Anner Bylsma playing Duport No. 8 on cello. Bylsma's playing has far more emotional content in it than the more familiar cellist Yo-Yo Ma which is why I chose this piece. Better still would be Bylsma's Bach CDs (both on cello and violoncello) but I couldn't find any good samples on YouTube for you to try.
Spiritual from Beyond The Missouri Sky by Pat Metheny and Charlie Haden is a bit similar to Jon Hopkins piece in some ways (though altogether different in others) and it might also prove very calming.
I hope something in the above gives Kevin a few minutes of peace, or even just some contentment, Leslie. I'd love it if they'd help him get to sleep on those frequent nights when he can't quite settle. I also hope they can do the same for you sometime when things are particularly rough and you just need a short time out ...
