Day 512 - Oct 23, 2009

Moe made it today - finally! Her flight was delayed for 3 different reasons, but she did finally arrive. Her luggage didn't - but I'm sure it will make it here eventually.

Kevin is just so excited that Moe is here and he couldn't wait for her to get here. He was tapping his foot all afternoon. They have always been so close and it's good to see him interacting with her.

And in other news - Breezy passed her stone. Or should I say her speck of sand. It's amazing that something barely noticeable can wreak such havoc on your body.

And now I have to run and do a load of laundry. Then Moe and I are going to BS for a while.

Before I go though - an anonymous poster asked if my kids were twins and the answer is 'no'. They are 4 years and 4 days apart. Breezy is 25 and Kevin is 21.

The airlines were all mucked up today. I flew from Louisville to Ontario and it was two hours later getting on the ground. I'm so glad that this day is over and happy that Moe made it! Kevin will really love having her out to visit. :)

Glad that Breezy is doing better as well and I hope to hear about great interaction and fun the next few days -- and that Moe's luggage made it.

Have fun with Moe there Les. You guys will chat up a storm. I'm sure it will be good for Kevin to have her there also. Glad Breezy is feeling better. That is SO painful!

How will you see Kevin if he is "sent" to a place in Texas and you and Breezy live in Florida?

Hi Leslie,

I'm very glad that Breezy passed that tiny terror! I've had issues with kidney stones for some time and it's amazing that something as small as a tomato seed can make you feel as if you are a Halloween pumpkin being carved from the inside out! I recommend lots of cranberry juice from now on; it's a folk remedy but I've been doing it for three years now and haven't had a recurrence (which used to be common for me.)

How wonderful that Kevin responded to his sister's crisis with such grace and understanding...he understood that he needed to be there for her as she has been for him.

I'm happy that Moe made it safely and hope her luggage has by now as well.

Best thoughts to y'all, as always.

Anne

Glad to hear that Moe made it there safely and that Breezy finally has some relief!

It would be good for Kevin to learn more independence, but I can understand your hesitance at not wanting to trust him into a stranger's care. I believe you'll know what's right when and if the time comes.

You're all in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.
