Day 99 - Sept 7, 2008

I am not going to write much tonight. It's late and I am tired.

Nothing much happened anyway today. Kevin was in a better mood - he even gave me a hug when I was leaving. I usually wait to go home until he is sleeping, but he had taken a long nap while I went to dinner and I couldn't stay awake any longer myself. It's ok because he has someone that sits in his room with him 24/7 so he has someone to talk to him.

That's really about it so I am going to cut this one short. Hopefully things will start rolling tomorrow in regards to therapy. I just can't wait to see what they do!

Hi Leslie,
Hope you got some much needed rest!
Bet that was the best hug ever, huh? :-)
Here is to hope that things get started for you guys today!
Today is Andrew's birthday. He would have been 20. So to make it a better day for us, I hope you and Kevin and Breezy have a great and successful day today! :-)
Healing and positive thoughts for Kevin.
Safe thoughts for all our military personnel.
Big hugs and lots of love for all of you!
All my love,
Andrew's Aunt Jodi

Just left a message on your cell phone. Want to send a package with magnetic letters & words to help Kevin communicate. Have some picked out at "ABC Stuff" but want to check with you first & see if they're right. Call when you can find time, OK?

Love,
Joanie

Hi Leslie & Breezy:
I can't wait to read your blog tomorrow to see if they started any kind of rehab for Kevin. Its so exciting Leslie, that Kevin gave you a hug last night....must make you feel so good knowing he knows you and can communicate in some way. Lets hope and pray that the best is yet to come! Just wanted you to know I was thinking about all of you.

Hey there Leslie, Breezy & Kevin!

Just stopping by to say hi and to let you all know that loads of thoughts, prayers, support and angel hugs are always coming your way. It is great to read that Kevin has been making different sounds, that he's high "5-ing" and giving hugs when you leave. All great signs, all indicators of improvement and progress! And the hugs that you get from him must make you soar through the clouds! God the "little" things that we all take for granted. Like getting a hug from your kid. I can say that I for one will never ever take that stuff - or anything for that matter - for granted again. Those little things really aren't that little are they.

Please know that we're all out here praying for you and praying with you. Each and every day. Big, giant hugs to you all. Hope you were able to get some rest!
