Day 302 - Mar 29, 2009

Kevin didn't really feel like doing much today so he mostly lay around the house. We did go to the mall where he bought himself some jeans, shorts, shirts and a hat from Pac Sun and I got the biggest kick out of it when he was pulling out his debit card to pay for it and they told him the total. You should've seen his eyes bug out of his head, lol. All I could say was "Yeah - now you know how I felt all these years!"

After that, we all went to dinner at The Cheesecake Factory because Diane and Mary Jo had never been there. There really wasn't much twisting of the arm to go there though.

And that's about it. Kevin wanted to go back to the hospital tonight to sleep so he and Breezy left a little while ago to do that.

I didn't sleep much last night so I am writing very early tonight in the hopes that I can get to sleep pretty darn quick. We ladies are hitting the beach tomorrow so we need to get up kinda early.

I was just catching up on your posts from the last few days and the one about Kevin's eye exam caught my eye (no pun intended!;)) Is Kevin able to draw with any clarity? I ask because my grandpa can't read or write, and when he goes for his eye exams they have him draw what he sees. Just a thought, although I'm sure the eye docs have it all worked out for him.

Too funny about Kevin's "sticker shock" on his shopping trip!

Please know that you and yours are still in my thoughts and prayers daily. Every day I ask God to please help Kevin continue to heal. I started reading your blog on day 29, and have read every post since (including of course going back to the beginning). What a long way he's come! I know there's still a long road ahead, and I can't imagine what you go through in a day, but always know there's a lot of us out here in cyberspace wishing you well and pulling for Kevin.

God Bless you all.

I'm glad you had a great day yesterday and hope you get some sleep tonight so you can enjoy the beach tomorrow!

It's a miracle that Kevin's hearing is still intact after what he went through! Praise God for that! It will be interesting to see what the eye doctor works out to test Kevin's eyesight. Glasses are "in" right now, so Kevin should be able to find some cool frames!

You're all in my thoughts and prayers. Take care!

Hope that you got a good nights sleep last night, and hope you have an AWESOME time at the beach today! Sit back, relax, enjoy yourself. You deserve it!

I'm sure Kev looks great in his new duds - despite the sticker shock! :-)

God bless you Leslie, Kev, Breezy & family. There is always thoughts, prayers, support and loads and loads of extra special Angel Hugs coming your way every single day.
