Day 406 - Jul 9, 2009

I am so tired tonight so I am just going to leave y'all with a bunch of photos that were taken this week. I just couldn't sleep last night at all - I was so upset about Kevin 'losing' his driver's license.

So anyway, the first photo here is of Kevin buying ice cream from the truck that drives around town almost every night. This was the first time we were able to catch him! Kevin was just so excited - like a little kid!

This one is Kevin with Maritza (Joel's mom). They sure love each other!

This one is a picture of Kevin with Joel.

We had went up to the ward the other day to visit everyone as we haven't been there in so long. Everyone was so excited to see the changes in Kevin and I know we were both excited to see the people that have been our family for so long. I sure miss V and Maritza and Grisel and Dena - and truthfully - so many others that were such a part of our life. We are having a little belated birthday party on Sunday for Kev and Breezy so hopefully we get to see some of them then!

And as a reminder to myself to tell y'all about it - I have decided to hold off on the other surgeries until September. I will explain tomorrow night though as I really am just so exhausted.

You can really tell you've been working on simple ways to improve your photos (not that your other ones were poor) because these look SO GOOD.

Of course, so does the subject matter. :D Kevin, you're looking fantastic.

And now I want ice cream, LOL!

Glad to hear your visit to the ward went well, and I'm sure the birthday party will go great!

Leslie,

Kevin has most definitely been touched by the hand of God...in such a positive way.

Prayers..this child has received millions of prayers and just look at him.

Have a wonderful day of birthday celebrations. So good to see Maritza and Joel too..we all know they are so very much your family and always will be.

Good move...to hold off until September for the other surgeries. He's been through so much lately and his trip home for his award will be fun and exciting.. but exhausting at the same time.

He is such an amazing person. I have NEVER seen anyone bounce back as quickly as he does.

He truly is a miracle..

God Bless you all.

Thank you so much for posting the pictures! :) I went to the driving website. It does say it expires after the b-day date, but could you just give them a call and mention your situation that he was recovering from surgeries and wasn't able to stop in? It's just so soon after the exp. date that maybe just maybe they will let him by with all that's happened. It's worth a shot! :)
Have a great day!

WOW! He's looking so good! Better with every new photo you post. Awesome. I fear that you are so close to the situation that you don't get to enjoy the changes and improvements we get to see from a distance. I'm just smiling so much after seeing the new pictures.
