Day 313 - Apr 9, 2009

I am just too exhausted to write tonight. My dad fell last night and I had to take him to the hospital at 4am to have him checked. Of course, Kevin was here with us, so I had to wake him and take him back to his hospital room, but it worked out cause Dad is a vet so I just took him to urgent care at the VA Hospital after I got Kevin settled in.

It turns out that my dad broke a rib, so he has to rest completely for a while now.

And I haven't went to bed since I woke up yesterday morning - so I am going now. We are signing on the house tomorrow and will be pretty busy tomorrow night. If you don't hear from me - don't be alarmed, ok?

Oh no! How sad, but I'm glad your dad is going to be ok. You've always got some kind of "adventure" you have to deal with.

Hope you get some sleep tonight and that all goes well with the house signing tomorrow! I'll be praying for you and thinking of you.

Oh precious girl! I am so very sorry for your dad. That really sucks. He's gonna have a restless sleep, but I sure hope you can get some rest. Gotta charge up your battery, honey. Big day ahead of you, and I'm so excited about your signing. Kevin must be on cloud nine.
I'm sick about your lease, but I guess there's nothing you can do. That's tough, too.
Many prayers for tomorrow, and big hugs for you, Breezy, Kevin, n most assuredly, your dad. Is your Mom okay? I sure hope so.
No panic if there's no news tomorrow...the next day will be awesome!!
Good night and God bless,

OMG Les. Please make sure not only does your Dad rest, but you do too! My Mother in law fell last weekend and broke her right clavical so I am taking care of her right now. The doctor said for that or ribs, there is really nothing to do but rest till it heals. We are a week into it and she is still in alot of pain. I wish a speedy recovery for your Dad.
Good luck on the house signing. And Congrats to Kevin on owning his first home!
Love
Sue

Very sorry about your dad - a broken rib can be very painful.

After you sign on the house (I believe you said it'll be in Kevin's name) don't forget to request the $8000 first time homebuyer credit on his tax return. It's refundable so he should get it no matter how much tax, if any, he owes.
