Day 159 - Nov 6, 2008

Kevin did seem to be much better today. We actually had a great morning and we only had pain when we went to the mall today and that was because the ride over was too bumpy. Once we got back, he got back into bed and was fine again.

Not sure if it was eliminating the red dye, keeping the heat regulated or the weather being slightly better, but I'll take whatever it is. And here's hoping to another good day tomorrow.

So, I am going to cut it short again tonight as I want to crash. I will write more tomorrow night and I will have some pics of him riding the bed bike and us being out at the mall.

I'm so glad to hear that Kevin is feeling better. Can't wait for the next pictures. Hope you were able to get some rest. You have to take care of yourself, too. Keep staying strong and keep fighting. He has come such a long way. You keep fighting, too, Kevin!! I'm looking forward to the day when we can all see you again. As always we continue to pray for all three of you. Melissa Ion

Hello - Yesterday Sugarcreek Elementary held its annual Veterans' Day assembly. We want you to know that Kevin was in our thoughts and prayers as we listened to each grade level perform and as each veteran spoke to the audience. Mr. McElroy got up and spoke to the audience about Kevin and his strong will and determination and his loving family. He talked about how Kevin is progressing and fighting and the spirit he has always shown as such a remarkable person. We at Sugarcreek are so proud of Kevin and we admire you for your spirit and determination. There's not a day that goes by that we don't think of him and of your courageous fight. Mr. McElroy ended by saying that we can't wait to welcome Kevin home. Please know that we are praying for you and we hope for all the best for Kevin in his recovery.
From,
Tracy Ball and the Sugarcreek Staff and Students
