Can you believe that Christian is already one year old? No joke!!! He turned one on Friday! We didn't really have a party, but we will in a few weeks. In the interim, we did have some cake and here are some pictures to prove it. You are gonna love these!
What a mess, eh? LOL!
And to catch up on some photos, here is one from the dinner after Louise's funeral. It is all the cousins together:
And lastly, here are some photos of Kevin and one of him and Johnny. Kevin's lookin' good, I think:

I was cleaning out a box of: "put everything in here if you don't know where else to put it." Well I came across the Leader Times paper clipping entitled, "Wounded East Brady soldier fights for his life in Army Hospital." I clipped it at the time and followed your blog for a while...after finding it again I could not simply part with it but came back to this blog to see how Kevin has progressed. It is wonderful to see his smiling face. I said a prayer for him and wanted to say that I am glad the blogspot is still up and running. Blessings to you and Kevin as you travel on this special journey.
Hope you had a great week, and yes the year has gone by fast for Christian. Poor fella for his first year he has gone through alot, hope is second year goes more smoothly. Kevin you do look great you have come soooo far. My hat is off to you buddy. Keep fighting never give up, you are an example of someone whose have never given up with all the ups and DOWNS. Something has to come out good for you. Stay healthy and KEEP FIGHTING. Take care Lorraine and Rick
This blog is dedicated to my son, Kevin, who was critically wounded in Afghanistan on May 31, 2008. My daughter, Brianna, and I left our homes and our lives to be by his side from that day forward.
Here is where you will learn of all of our accomplishments as well as the trials of his recovery of such serious injuries.
Although we have come through the acute stage of his burns, we are now focusing on the rehab for his brain injury. For those of you unaware, Kevin has lost nearly 85% of the function of the left side of his brain, causing him to not be able to do much (yet) with his right side and he can only say a few words so far. He also has to learn to write and he needs to remember everything in his past life.
Basically, we have 'started over'.
