On Tuesday we went to BAMC and Kevin had another Botox treatment done. The doc is worried that Kevin may be building antibodies and that the Botox didn't seem to make much difference this last time. We are going to see him again in two weeks and see if he can see anything changed. If not, this may end up being our last dose of Botox - what a bummer. It has really helped bring his arm down and it's helped loosen his fingers (but not opened them). I am hoping the doctor just didn't remember correctly as he hadn't seen Kevin in a while.
On Wednesday Kevin went to the VA hospital for another hearing test. We are eliminating possibilities as to the cause of his ear pain. The audiologist said that Kevin's hearing is perfect and there are no issues that could be causing pain.
We are having another weird issue though...Kevin was walking in the kitchen the other day and almost stumbled. I was only a few feet away making his lunch so I quickly grabbed him and you could tell he was dizzy. I got him in a chair and he proceeded to tell me that his vision was then blurry in just his right eye. I kinda talked to the doc about it at the burn clinic, but he must not have heard the part about the dizziness because he thought it might be the burns causing Kevin's eyelashes to go downward into his eye (which is true and he wants to surgically fix this). That would cause the blurriness, but not the dizziness though. I plan to delve into this a little more later this week.
Kevin also fell a couple of weeks ago and I don't know if I mentioned it or not. His good leg just went out from under him and he crashed to the floor in his room. Although he shouldn't technically have carpet - I'm glad he does. It cushioned his fall for sure.
And now I am off to bed. I am actually is Los Angeles (Anaheim really) at a trade show for my business. I am flat out exhausted so it's time for some sleep! I did talk to Kevin a few times today though and he is doing well. He tells me he's partying it up while I'm gone - the little stinker!
