Hi everyone. Thanks for all of the well wishes and to be honest - this is going to be incredibly brief because I am still in a lot of pain.
First, I am guessing I have a kidney stone. I have had them before and it feels about the same. I was in the hospital until 5am the other night and they said they don't see anything wrong. Since then, I have been told that this hospital never finds anything wrong, but I am going to just have to assume it is a kidney stone and go on. I don't have insurance and I am sure that visit cost thousands of dollars so it is not an option to go to a better hospital.
As for us taking vacation time - we are not allowed to. It turns out that Kevin needs approval to take any leave as he is still active duty. I am not even going to say out loud what I think about this.
So, Breezy is going to take care of Kevin the next few days and I am just going to stay home and do nothing until the pain goes away. There really isn't anything more I can do.
I am also going to quickly say that the postings will probably be sporadic at best. The pain pills I am taking knock me out completely and sleep feels better than anything right now. So, I will try to write tomorrow - but can't guarantee it.

Leslie, please take care of yourself. Sorry you are in pain. Wish there were something I could do to help. But, Breezy is there, and everything will be fine. Sorry no vacation, you guys deserve one.
Please, don't worry about the posts. We will all be fine, just take care of yourself!!!!!
Healing and positive thoughts for Kevin.

Hugs to all of you! I'm sorry you aren't feeling well Leslie. I hope you are doing better really soon! We will continue to keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
Take care,
Kathy in IA
Leslie,
I cannot imagine going through each and every single day..alone..as you have been doing. I know Brianna has been with you from time to time and friends also, but you've been Kevin's main caregiver from day one.
You are taking care of a miracle in progress....your amazing son. You have lead him and guided him and been his strength.
Look at the most recent photos of Kevin...THE SMILE SAYS IT ALL !!! I still thank the man who gave you the camera because you have documented so much of your journey through photography. I travel with my camera and have documented so much of family, friends and events that I will cherish forever.
Take a peek at the photos you've taken of Kevin and know that he is where he is because of your love and care and of God being by your sides helping you every step of the way.
It is now your time to rest...as you've had such a big load to carry. I am thankful that Brianna ( an extension of you ) is now by your side and back to help with Kevin.
Your body needs rest and it is telling you so.
They say God never gives us more than we can handle, but at times I have so greatly wondered how much one human can indeed handle. You are witness that through love...anything and everything is possible.
I know people have sent you scripture to look up before. I do not know if you even have a Bible, so if you do not, I am sending you this scripture.
You need to rest and know that God never ever leaves you, no matter how down and alone you may feel.
Take care and be so proud of all that you have done. You have many people who care about the welfare of Kevin, praying for him daily and in that you should find so much comfort.
You are a family and we all just want you to be well and keep on going. You've made such progress.
Get well and STAY STRONG...
Here is the scripture. I hope it brings you comfort.
Psalm 118
1 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
His love endures forever.
2 Let Israel say:
"His love endures forever."
3 Let the house of Aaron say:
"His love endures forever."
4 Let those who fear the LORD say:
"His love endures forever."
5 In my anguish I cried to the LORD,
and He answered by setting me free.
6 The LORD is with me; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?
7 The LORD is with me; He is my helper.
I will look in triumph on my enemies.
8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in man.
9 It is better to take refuge in the LORD
than to trust in princes.
10 All the nations surrounded me,
but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
11 They surrounded me on every side,
but in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
12 They swarmed around me like bees,
but they died out as quickly as burning thorns;
in the name of the LORD I cut them off.
13 I was pushed back and about to fall,
but the LORD helped me.
14 The LORD is my strength and my song;
He has become my salvation.
15 Shouts of joy and victory
resound in the tents of the righteous:
"The LORD's right hand has done mighty things!
16 The LORD's right hand is lifted high;
the LORD's right hand has done mighty things!"
17 I will not die but live,
and will proclaim what the LORD has done.
18 The LORD has chastened me severely,
but He has not given me over to death.
19 Open for me the gates of righteousness;
I will enter and give thanks to the LORD.
20 This is the gate of the LORD
through which the righteous may enter.
21 I will give you thanks, for you answered me;
you have become my salvation.
22 The stone the builders rejected
has become the capstone;
23 the LORD has done this,
and it is marvelous in our eyes.
24 This is the day the LORD has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
25 O LORD, save us;
O LORD, grant us success.
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the LORD.
From the house of the LORD we bless you. [a]
27 The LORD is God,
and He has made His light shine upon us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up [b] to the horns of the altar.
28 You are my God, and I will give you thanks;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.
29 Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good;
His love endures forever.
Most importantly, take care of yourself at this time. We're thinking of you and wish there were something we could do to help. So sorry to read Kevin is not allowed vacation time. But at this time with your pain etc, you wouldn't enjoy the time or assist with his care.
Healing thoughts and prayers your way.
Les, I hope all goes well with you. I know what it's like not to have insurance and be in pain. Please take care of yourself and I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I hope Kevin and Breezy are doing good. Love you all
Diana
Leslie, I hope your condition, whatever it turns out to be, rights itself quickly. I'm glad you at least have some pain pills to make you more comfortable and Breezy is there to look after things. I'll be praying for you and for Kevin. I'm sure he was disappointed that he wouldn't be able to get away from the hospital like he wanted. I'll be thinking of you all and hope you get some much needed, much deserved rest!
Oh man... just rest Les! I'm so sorry you are having so much pain.
Sorry that you are not feeling well. I hope that you get better soon!
Love ya,
Kristen
We all wish we could be there to help. I know you will take care, but I also know it is with a price. Please know, so many are praying for your speedy "passing of this"!!!Love, hugs and prayers. ALways
LESLIE,
I HOPE YOU FEEL BETTER SOON. I REMEMBER HOW MUCH PAIN YOU WERE IN A FEW YEARS AGO WHEN THIS HAPPENED.

Hey there Leslie, Breezy & Kevin! I sure hope that you're feeling better today Leslie - if nothing else at least you are getting some rest that you desperately need. I'm sure the good drugs help too hee hee hee.
Saying extra prayers that you're feeling better soon. Kidney stones suck, that's the nicest thing I have to say about that! :-)
God bless you Leslie, Kev & Breezy - sending extra amounts of extra special Angel Hugs your way.
